Private and Semi-private lesson options
Private 30 min. All students (with out prior experience) start in half hour privates. Here we work on muscle memory for our own position and begin to guide the horse. $30 paid in advance. After several weeks, students are ready for:
Semi-private lessons. Hour-long, 2-3 riders. Each rider will become more independent in the grooming and tacking up of their mount and then have approximately 40-45 minutes of riding time. Group lessons are fun (for horses and riders) and students usually progress faster in them. $40 for 4-lesson package, paid in advance.
Every student is different, but generally a rider is ready for the hour w/ other rider(s) when they have mastered the basic position of their OWN body (heels lower than toes, basic balance etc) and the basic steering and stopping aids to control the pony or horse at the walk and trot. Once they control their own body and the horse’s body, then they can take on the additional challenge of dealing with other riders in the ring also.
